Other Lent/Easter activities
Community Easter project
Thank you to everyone who made decorations for our Easter window. These were displayed on our Easter tree in the window on Easter Sunday, along with our white flower cross of remembrance.
White flower cross of remembrance
For our white flower cross of remembrance, we invited our church family to write the name of someone close to them who has died on the back of a white paper flower. The flowers were then stuck to a cross which was used as our prayer focus for our prayer meeting during Holy Week, when we remembered all those names and prayed for their friends and family.
Little acts of kindness for Lent
For our little acts of kindness for Lent challenge, we shared a suggestion each day for a small act of kindness along with a Bible verse and prayer point. If you’d like to take part in a little acts of kindness challenge for Lent, you can find our sheet here with our 40 small acts of kindness suggestions for each day of Lent.
Woven – Lent Bible study
Our Bible exploration group during Lent followed the London District of the Methodist Church’s Lent study course – Woven. You can find more information about the Lent study course and download a copy of the booklet for this course at https://www.methodistlondon.org.uk/lentcourse2021
